All Dressed Up!

How do you like my new blog design!??? I love it. This was done for me by Christi over at Ms. Fultz's Corner! It is sooooo CUTE!! Thank you so much Christi! It looks much more festive than it did!
On another note, I am such a slacker! I have been meaning to blog about this since I won! I can't believe I haven't shared the fact that I finally won something! This never happens to me. I never win a thing, but it is true, I am officially a winner! Back when Dilly Dabbles was having a contest, I won! Look at my prize! I was so excited when I got it in the mail, and imagine the shock when my grandson found out it was not for him, but for me! HaHahHa! Thank you Melissa at http://www.dilly-dabbles.com/.

I did not have these and was so happy to get them!

And guess what, I also won another contest! I know--unbelievable isn't it! I won a Movie Response Pack by Ashley Hughes over at www.schoolsupplyaddict.com. I don't have a picture of it, but it can be used with movies in the classroom. Not only did she send me the color version, but also the black and white version. Thank you Ashley!! I apologize to both you ladies for taking so long to blog about my prizes.

Now, I want you to come back to my blog on Monday because I will have a BIG surprise for you and you will not want to miss it!
  So come on back now!!

Armadillo!!

Well, I am trying to be crafty again. I finished making a Georgia packet about animals, regions, and government. I made an armadillo to go with it. The students make an armadillo booklet to use to write what they have learned about the animal or whatever else the teacher might want to use it for. Check it out! (I secretly like saying the word "armadillo"--it just sounds fun!)

If you buy the packet the armadillo patten is included!

If you would like to see the packet, just click on the picture and go right to the page.

I thought the armadillo turned out so cute, if I must say so myself.  My grandson thought it was an anteater! But they are in the same animal family!! (armadillo-I may say this word the rest of the night.)

Well, goodnight!    armadillo

I Don't Know How To Change A Tire!!

Well, my daughter and I had a little adventure today. We went to a couple of thrift stores in town(I love to shop at thrift stores, you never know what goodies you are going to find!) and when we came out of the last one, I had a tire going flat. Well I will just tell you this county girl does not know how to change a tire and neither does my daughter. So I called my hubby and he says,"You need to go ahead and take it to our tire place and get a new tire because obviously it has a hole in it somewhere."  So herewe go to the tire place and the young man assures me that he has a tire to fit my car. He takes off my tire and puts the new one back on and it doesn't fit. He is very apologetic and I tell him that it is okay, besides he has been flirting with my daughter, so I let it slide. Then after searching for several minutes, he concludes that he does  NOT have a tire to fit my car. Now we turn to the spare tire that is kept in a little cubbie in the back part of my vehicle. I don't know if you are like me, but by the time I drive my car, and my daughter and grandson use my car, it looks like we live in it!!There are shoes everywhere, my grandson's fishing pole, a cranberry drink bottle that is almost empty (saving that in case we get stranded on the road), school stuff that I brought home to work on this summer that has not even made it out of the car, and various other items. Anyhoo, we finally rummage through all the "stuff" in the back and get the spare tire and he puts it on. By this time I am ready to go on home. I had planned on a trip to the WalMart because I got paid and that is what you do when you get paid (every teacher knows that). Oh and by the way, I am now carrying around an old tire with a hole in it in the back of my car! He didn't have room to keep it because they had such a pile of old tires. But what the heck, it is just one more thing in the back of my car, NO WORRIES.
