Well, my daughter and I had a little adventure today. We went to a couple of thrift stores in town(I love to shop at thrift stores, you never know what goodies you are going to find!) and when we came out of the last one, I had a tire going flat. Well I will just tell you this county girl does not know how to change a tire and neither does my daughter. So I called my hubby and he says,"You need to go ahead and take it to our tire place and get a new tire because obviously it has a hole in it somewhere." So herewe go to the tire place and the young man assures me that he has a tire to fit my car. He takes off my tire and puts the new one back on and it doesn't fit. He is very apologetic and I tell him that it is okay, besides he has been flirting with my daughter, so I let it slide. Then after searching for several minutes, he concludes that he does NOT have a tire to fit my car. Now we turn to the spare tire that is kept in a little cubbie in the back part of my vehicle. I don't know if you are like me, but by the time I drive my car, and my daughter and grandson use my car, it looks like we live in it!!There are shoes everywhere, my grandson's fishing pole, a cranberry drink bottle that is almost empty (saving that in case we get stranded on the road), school stuff that I brought home to work on this summer that has not even made it out of the car, and various other items. Anyhoo, we finally rummage through all the "stuff" in the back and get the spare tire and he puts it on. By this time I am ready to go on home. I had planned on a trip to the WalMart because I got paid and that is what you do when you get paid (every teacher knows that). Oh and by the way, I am now carrying around an old tire with a hole in it in the back of my car! He didn't have room to keep it because they had such a pile of old tires. But what the heck, it is just one more thing in the back of my car, NO WORRIES.

Crafty--Not so sure!
Well, I said I was hoping to put something crafty on here and I have done this craft several times and still need to tweak it a bit, but here it is!! I love history and so to go with my Famous Faces of Georgia unit I created, I made these crafts to go with it. I made James Oglethorpe and Mary Musgrove, two of the famous faces in Georgia history. I am no artist by no means, but I gave it a shot. Once I get the patterns perfected a little I may put them on TpT and TN. What do you think? Go ahead--let me have it--I can take criticism!
James Oglethorpe
Maybe I should have not used a clear bead for the button, you can see the glue. Oh well, craft and learn!
Mary Musgrove
I know!! I told you I was not an artist!! Still need to tweak a few things! Or maybe a lot of things!!
On another thought, I have something new in TpT and TN! Check it out!
If you want to check it out just click on the picture!

Well, time to get off of here and tweak James and Mary!!

Finally---A Blog Button
WooHoo! Look what I did!! I finally figured out how to put my blog button on here. I even have a code so you can now grab my button and add it to your blog! It has only taken me half a day to do this, so you better believe I am gonna toot my own horn!! I am so excited that I finally figured it out! I know most of you are probably thinking Big WHOOP, but it is for me. I am technology challenged!
Well, I have clothes to wash that have been waiting on me since I have been working on this ding-dong-dittly button. Gotta go! Hope to put something really crafty on here in a few days--stay tuned!

Look What I Found!
WoW I went to the Walmart and you will never guess what I found! These cute little magnifying glasses to use in my reading station. They are a lot more colorful than the plain old black ones that I have, or used to have that I can't find anymore. Who knows where they are after all those second grade hands have had them!! These were only 97 cents!! It is like the dollar isle at Target! I was so excited! Aren't they cute!!
And you will never guess what else I found for 97 cents!! These cute little "poofy balls"(right now the correct name escapes me so for now they are "poofy balls") in all kinds of colors! And look what I made!
TADA!! A pig! I used construction paper to make the ears, eyes, and snout and there you have it---a pig. I bet it would be cute if I used patterned scrapbook paper. I think I just had a---wait a minute---YAH! I have an idea! Who knows what will be on here next??!!

The Three Little Pigs Math Activities-TpT
Hi! I have enjoyed my first full week of summer vacation! Just lounging around at home and catching up on some much needed sleep. Had planned on going to a 90 mile long yard sale today, but unfortunately I was rained out. We actually had a tornado come through our area last night!! It didn't do any damage that I know of, I'm sure I would have heard about it by now. I have just completed a new math unit for TpT! The name of it is(wait for it----) "The Three Little Pigs" Math Activities. Check it out below!
If you would like to see it even closer, just click on the picture and it will take you right to the page.
Hope you like it, you probably knew it would be about pigs!! HaHa! There will be a Literacy Unit to follow later that goes with the story also! So come back later if you are interested in it! Happy Weekend!
If you are still in school--Hang in there-- the end is in sight!!
